Recommendation for a roll with cardamom!

Great vibes. Even better pastries

I go the Cinnamon bun and apple pie. I liked the apple pie better. The cinnamon was a lil too sweet for me. The oatmeal cappuccino was good. They have many options for bread and cakes as well, which was looking really good on display :) The place was overcrowded and noisy when I visited. So got a place elsewhere to sit and enjoy my food.

Had a chance to visit on the breezy weekday. Plenty seat to dine-in. They have lots of tasty pastry and good coffee. I have one of the almond croissant and it's very good 👌🏻.

Happy to finally visit after loving Anderson while I lived in Tokyo (delicious croissants). The miso caramel croissant did not disappoint and the salmon onigiri was so creative! flavorful and filling and works beautifully with the flakey bread instead of traditional rice. Of course expect a long line at peak hours (I came a second time before I left Copenhagen in the early evening and most things sold out). It’s not five stars because the staff were very unfriendly and yes I felt rushed (but understand it’s quite busy). It’s a bustling atmosphere, but happy to find a cute nook on the second floor by the window

They have very fresh and delicious baked goods. They also have specialty desserts. I tried 3-4 items and they were all very good. Give Anderson Signature a try. The coffee is also good. The prices are reasonable considering the portion size, quality, and taste.

I wasn’t expecting to find one of the best pain au chocolats I’ve ever had in Copenhagen, but here we are. I’ve had plenty in Paris, and Andersen’s is easily on the same level. The pastry was incredibly flaky, with beautifully defined layers, a crisp exterior and just the right amount of chocolate. The cardamom bun was great too, with a lovely caramelized finish and a warm, aromatic cardamom flavor that wasn’t overpowering. I came for the Danish pastries, but the pain au chocolat completely stole the show. I’d genuinely come back just for that.

Interestingly, my companion and I weren't huge fans of the baked goods that we ate at Andersen Bakery while visiting Copenhagen. But, it was more a matter of the unique flavor combinations not quite working for us than anything to do with the quality of the baked goods themselves. What we consumed was clearly very well made, of high quality, and sold fresh. Also, the counter service was very pleasant and helpful (and even fluent in English, and the atmosphere inside of the cafe was nice. If you're looking for something different, this bakery/cafe may be worth a try!
