A great place for a small quiet break mid day. Not a lot of snacks variety in the manu but the bread and better is super nice

Unannounced I managed to snag a table amongst a hubbub of sartorial debutantes, some with their suitors, away from the instagramming rabble of Nyhavn. Apollo has claimed a corner of Kunsthal Charlottenborg, adjacent to a courtyard that allows those to partake alfresco, weather permitting. An eclectic mélange of curios and objets d'art are positioned around the room. Flame-charred wooden moulding blocks, obsolete tools of a glass blower. Distressed equine stone friezes, illuminated by cubist translucent marbled mounts. Striped banquettes, upholstered from what looks like the ticking of an Oxford boater’s haberdashery. Elongated cylindrical lighting caresses the bar like stalactites, there to guide me to a table, beside a trifecta of oblong mirrors that refracts the light that pours in from the enormous windows that dominate. Servers jostle across the herringbone floor to deliver curated dainty dishes mainly of a vegetarian disposition, to those whose pockets are deep. To be part of the initiated, you, too, have to adhere.

Simple but good breakfast. Not so much service.

The location is fantastic. The terrace is incredibly picturesque, and the interior has a very stylish. I only stopped by to have a look around, so I can’t comment on the food. We grabbed coffee to go, and the coffee itself was fairly average. One small thing that stood out to me: the takeaway cups were just plain white cups. It feels like a missed opportunity, as a place with such a strong aesthetic could easily add some branding or a simple logo. Something as simple as the name on the cup would make the whole experience feel a bit more memorable.

The square is really nice to sit at when it’s sunny, but the service was not very attentive - hard to place an order and you need to remind them to bring it to you. Then you need to remind them again what you’ve had when paying. The snack we had were ok but I would prefer the cheese in cubes instead of slices.

Confit cod with tomato rice was scrummy. Clean simple decor with excellent service

Nice selection of vegetarian dishes. I really enjoy the atmosphere at Apollo Bar, and it’s close to the Nyhavn district, where all the colorful buildings are.

Staff was very friendly. I was there was hoping just to take a rest from strolling along the city.

I liked their house-made bread, but the presentation was modest and the portions were small for the price. The service was slow, though the courtyard was very charming. It felt like a bit of a tourist trap. I was there for breakfast, so maybe the atmosphere is different in the evening
