Appetit Helsingør

We had such a lovely family meal here! The waiter was so lovely, especially with my son. Great little meal for him. The Moscow Mules were really tasty. Food was top quality and everyone enjoyed it. But the cosy atmosphere and personal touch was what made it extra special. Such a lovely evening ☺️

We chugged past Appetit and went in hoping for a quiet dinner, but hadn't booked a table, which was obviously a mistake, but we didn't know any better. We were met by an energetic couple at the bar, and we decided to sit at the bar for one - before we had to find another place to eat. One drink turned into several, and we felt constantly pampered and embraced. And it didn't take long before we were offered a table upon cancellation. But the atmosphere in the bar was not one to leave, and we shared a number of dishes in the bar which almost took one's breath away. Classic bistro dishes, however with a twist on how they were put together - to great surprise. When you're passionate about food, there will always be one little thing that might not be quite perfect. But the embrace we got from the place, and incredibly competent staff, it is an experience to retell for a long time. We never waited for anything, the glass was always full - and I have tasted and drunk things that I have never been near before. Thanks to Daniel and the team, for an excellent experience. We meet again soon!

The atmosphere of the restaurant was good and calm and the service was also good. Overall a pleasant experience! :)

Elsinore's new best restaurant due to several things. First of all temperature and atmosphere. It took just 2 minutes before the waiters had time to seat us, but from the second we entered we just got a nod, like "welcome, we'll be there soon" so you know that the existing guests will get good service and won't be forgotten just because new guests arrive. A plus! Interior is cool and classic with a twist. The feeling of being in a cocktail bar with all the classics and a mix of soft crooner jazz and soft rock / pop on the set while pouring a good whiskey sour for a good conversation with the bartender. We were seated at one of their 2 high tables made from old vintage doors, which have been converted into tables, from the most beautiful robust wood, sitting in leather chairs. Along the wall were leather sofas and cozy-not-too-dark lighting. Cocktail and wine list played and we started with their cocktail Appetit classic, with rosemary aftertaste. The water was already poured within 3 minutes so we could take our time to go through the delicious menu. Well described and with a nice font in almost mint green tones and a good overview, you quickly find a 3-course satisfying menu. As the menus change depending on the season, I won't bore you with the details, but it sounded delicious. The challenge is, as always, that I am allergic to milk and nickel. But our nice and fresh waiter called the owner and chef, Jonas over and after my brief explanation and the search for what I might be able to tolerate on the a la carte he said "I love a challenge and tell me what you can't tolerate and I'll solve it with something else good" and what he promised he kept. Because we got a really great 3-course menu and I'm rarely used to being greeted with such wonderful enthusiasm and competence. It made me wake up even more to the fact that this is not just a standard restaurant in Helsingør. As I write this, it occurs to me that I fear if they become too successful and people discover how top notch their service, cocktails and food are, I won't get a table again for the time being. But right must be right and they deserve the success they already have. We finished with the world's best chocolate mousse and my girlfriend, who is a chocolate lover like myself, was about to fall off her chair at how good it was. I tasted it a little despite my allergies, and yes it is top notch. Even their special version for me with a sorbet ice cream which was creamy and rich was outstanding. My girlfriend mentioned the good chocolate mousse, but that there will always be too little of it when it tastes good. 2 minutes later she got extra of it 👍🏽 We had a chat with the chef, who, together with his wife, shines in the kitchen - That's why you know that both quality and details are the focus. You could feel Jonas's passion for his restaurant and food. I got to share my passion for concepts and my positive feedback. It was well received and that is a rarity. I love concepts and well-thought-out restaurants with a "common thread" running through the concept. And I find that Restaurant Appetit has a good handle on that. It's only a few details, which is healthy that not everything is perfect, but when there's room for minor improvements, you as a guest know that you're already having a good time 😊 I don't think the art on the walls fits the concept, but if you ask chef Jonas, there is a little story behind it. And that kind of thing is always nice. Sourdough bread with delicious butter and even onion oil for the allergy sufferers went like hot cakes! Felt really taken off. The meat was delicious and reasonably tender. Maybe a meat knife could help but not necessary. Especially because all the sauces and dressings we got were so flavorful. Service was top notch and I loved the informal tone but formal setting and service. We got to share stories with the waiter and get to know each other. As he said "we don't have visitors here, but guests who should feel like part of the family". You can feel it, because after we left, we felt even more energetic on top of a good experience. Skotterup i snekkersten has got itself a fully worthy competitor even in the middle of Helsingør. See you again and hopefully soon!

Vanvittig lækker mad, smukt anrettet, dejlig vin, hyggelig stemning og ikke mindst god service! Tak for en meget fin oplevelse - giver mine varmeste anbefalinger - jeg kommer snart igen.
