My ribeye burger tasted good, but I expected it to be hot and the accompanying pork rinds to be crispy. The lemon cake was delicious.

If you want uncompromisingly delicious food, cake and coffee in the green forest, then you have found the place. Here your shoulders immediately drop and the cozy surroundings invite you to chat. Sit outside and listen to the birdsong and watch the swallows floating in and out of the building - or inside where relaxed music soothes your nerves. My favorite food is chicken salad, but breakfast, coffee and cake are also high on the list. We like to drive from Funen to Sorø to visit our favorite cafe.

Had a light lunch in the garden, and the prices match the quality of the meal. But, for heaven's sake, get the young people to liven up the experience a bit so you don't feel like you're a nuisance. It's so easy to make guests feel a little more welcome.

28/06/2025: Lovely lunch in the courtyard. Attentive and friendly service.
17/05/2025: Vi deltog denne gang i en eksklusiv Winemakers dinner. Der var i høj grad arbejdet med at matche de fremragende vine og den også fremragende mad. Den hvide drue Nascetta var et meget spændende bekendtskab. Som altid er teamworket både i restauranten og i køkkenet i top.

17/03/2026: Nice and cozy hotel. Beautifully located with nature in the backyard. The mattress was a little hard, but better too hard than too soft. Dinner is included in the price. I've never tried that before. It lacked a bit of flavor for me, but it should suit many people.
06/03/2026: This hotel is a place you want to come back to again and again. My first stay here was very pleasant and cozy, with beautiful nature all around. There is plenty of space to work and relax in the evening, for example, playing table tennis or billiards. Special compliments to the chef, the food is delicious! My favorite part was making fresh waffles in the waffle maker at breakfast. It’s something I enjoy doing at home, so it made the stay feel especially cozy. The location is peaceful and close to nature, but it’s also possible to walk into town. There is a beautiful historic church nearby that I recommend visiting during a run or a walk around the lake. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. I’m very grateful for such a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the region!
