Axelhus Torvestade Helsingør

Good sandwiches at a good price but above all very friendly staff. A bit rough environment, as it should be at a beer bar in Helsingör.

Got pretty drunk so it must have been a good night. Not the next day though as their drinks gave me a serious hangover 🤣😂

Very cozy but a bit too expensive

Reluctantly visiting Axelhus once again. Not to taint the memory of this once iconic dive bar … but the atmosphere is no more. Gone are downing “sets” in a cigarette smoke filled room, locals on piano and guitar, and unspecified open sandwiches. On the positive side, the taps now feature To Øl and the menu has expanded a bit beyond the smørrebrød. The sister bar - Axelbar is even better from a beer perspective. To Øl on tap, and in the fridge, alongside Brew York. The town is going through changes. It’s inevitable.

We did not have food but they do some snacks, including scratchings. They do music Friday & Saturdays.

Sloppy sandwiches, poor track of who ordered what

Cozy and nice campsite. Well-maintained nice showers that don't cost extra. Will gladly come back
