Ban Gaw København

Have eaten there for many many years. But I think it has gotten worse in taste and portion size since they moved to the new address. I understand that everything has gotten more expensive over the years. But that portion sizes are getting smaller and the dishes are getting more expensive…

The food is authentic Thai, but the service from the young Thai hostess was a major disappointment. When we arrived and gave our reservation name, she greeted us with a frown and a confused expression, then asked us to repeat the name as if she couldn’t find it. I later noticed her doing the same thing with several other Asian groups, so I suspect there may be an issue with their reservation system rather than the customers. She then condescendingly informed us that we had only 1 hour and 15 minutes to dine. We quickly decided on our order, but after two waitstaff ignored our attempts to get their attention, we asked the hostess, who was standing by the bar, if she could let someone know we were ready to order. Instead of acknowledging our request or responding verbally, she simply pointed toward the other servers without any intention of helping. The food was good, but the unfriendly and dismissive service left a poor impression and took away from the overall dining experience.

The flavors are just as good as those at famous authentic Thai restaurants in Thailand. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. I highly recommend the Pad Krapow, Tom Saap, and Larb Duck. One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve visited outside Thailand!

Used to be here a lot of times, I mean original address closed to Kødbyen, but the food is not the flavor it used to be, I don’t know the reason, I tried two times in tow during a weekend, the flavor is not that stable. It used to be my girlfriend’s favorite Asian restaurant in Copenhagen….

Authentic home cooked Thai food with plenty of zing in their dishes! When you crave for fluffy rice and a zesty Thai dish, this is the perfect place to go. Do make reservations as we saw several groups of people being turned away as the red was fully booked. So do your homework and don’t be disappointed:) try the green salmon curry as it’s a perfect match of ingredients!

The best Thai food in Copenhagen. Their food is as good as you can get from a restaurant in Bangkok. The portions are large. Please be careful about the spice level. Don't ask to try beyond your limit, especially when first time eating Thai food.
