This place rules if you are a couple.

Best place to experience live music in Copenhagen. Comfort in the first place, old fashioned furnishings. A good selection of beers, although there could well be more lagers.

Great concert with Espen Just last Saturday.

We come here for a date night early evening. The place was full, I think it was quiz night or something. The choice of ales is great. They do have food but not vegan options for me. I like that its cudtomary to try a couple of beer tasters before making a choice. I usually have a new one I've not tried before then a Früli strawberry Leffe. I watched the owner come in with supplies. Its a really warm, quirky, authentic place with a focus on music. They used to have a space for vinyl which I think has gone now, so there's more furniture/places to sit. There's outdoor seating for people with dogs or smokers but it was winter so it was rather steamy inside.

It has the real 'Brune Värtshus' atmosphere, without being it. Small and good and intimate.

Too bad they don't play as much live music anymore. The city "dies" when Copenhagen's venues have to be closed.
