We arrived very early into Hillrod because we knew we would spend a long time exploring Frederikborg Castle. We were pleasantly surprised to find this cafe bakery open and it had such a nice atmosphere, good coffee and good food. It was a great way to start our day.

19/02/2025: Super nice place with really good sushi and sticks
14/02/2025: Online takeaway ordering. Their sushi was really good. I couldn't bear to sit in there and eat because of the smell. But as a takeaway, we could easily place an order again. It is not possible to park right next to it, as it is on a pedestrian street that has also been completely dug up, so people with walking difficulties or wheelchair users will probably have to wait to visit the place.

18/04/2025: Good and popular cafe...varied menu.
15/04/2025: Visited Café Valentin on Sunday, 13th April for lunch and had a great time. I ordered the fish filet and nachos with cheese, paired with a Tuborg Classic beer. The food was tasty and nicely presented — especially enjoyed the crispy nachos. The portion sizes were generous, definitely above average compared to typical Copenhagen standards. The ambience was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed afternoon. Service was quick and friendly, which made the experience even better. The meal cost around 300 DKK, which I found reasonable for the quality and location. Would definitely consider visiting again!
