This is such a little hidden gem!! Both the owner and chef were amazing and accommodated us and we're really kind 💞 They went above and beyond! The food was just perfect ! I cannot recommend last time I had such an amazing steak ? Portion are amazing ! I recommend this place and would definitely come back! Thank you so much

The most cosy bistro, designed impeccably. The owner is incredibly nice and he is the chef and the waiter too. The food was outstanding and was far beyond any of my expectations. The portions were very very generous. And so was the wine pouring. I didn’t take the cocktails but the table next to be did and they looked incredible

We found this small restaurant checking google reviews and because it was close to our hotel. The first night there were no tables available but we could book for the following one. They asked us what we wanted to have for dinner that following night (I guess because they buy in the market on the same day). Service was fantastic but food even better. The crabs and the steak were fabolous. I don't normally write reviews in google but this small restaurant deserves it!. Amazing price for the food served. Congratulations.

It’s been a while (years) since my last review, but this place deserves it more than any I’ve visited. Bistro Gustav welcomes you with an atmosphere of warmth and true Danish coziness. I absolutely loved every bit of it. I can wholeheartedly recommend the fish plate - fish fried in butter that I’ll probably be thinking about for days, hot smoked salmon, seaweed caviar, shrimp, and a huge bowl of crayfish. It’s enormous and full of flavor. And if that wasn’t enough, the elderflower cocktail was the absolute cherry on top. Everything is served in a mix of homely and high-end style. It’s such a refreshing contrast to the distant, anonymous experience of “order-get food-pay” you find elsewhere. It’s direct, it’s fresh, it’s straight from the heart. .

Amazing, fresh, delicious food. Super nice owner and great cocktails. I will come back.

I can't wait to visit again. Fantastic starter (salmon with spinach) and tartlets. Too bad I didn't discover Gustav sooner!

A cozy intimate place in the heart of Copenhagen. The starter was hot smoked salmon and creamed spinach, the salmon was excellent but the spinach was without a doubt the best part of the starter, rich in flavour and wonderfully filling. The main course was tartlets with chicken and asparagus, they were fantastic and can easily compete with the one my mother used to make! Our dessert was their signature cocktail Barbara Maria which may be my new favourite cocktail. All in all a really nice restaurant visit where I would happily come again. The waiter had a lovely joking personality which was a good contrast to the vibe of the restaurant.
