Good brunch friendly service and child friendly

It took 25 minutes to get a beer, on a not busy day.. but otherwise a nice little secluded place, with a very nice backyard 🙂

A somewhat confusing menu and a bit bland dishes. We came an hour before closing time so it wasn't busy but there weren't many questions about roasting meat etc.

Always lovely food at Bistro V. In the past it has been challenging that they have been very slow with serving, taking orders, cleaning and so on. Drinks have been missing, orders have been delivered incorrectly and so on. This year it has improved and on our summer visit everything went quickly, they gave us the right order and the service was good. Really like their offer of "A really good evening" where you get a 3-course and wine package. Good value for money and it lives up to its name!

We ordered their shooting star as they recommended it as their specialty. The arrangement was nice. Two breaded fish fillets, small pieces of smoked salmon on top of a delicious toast. Garnished with prawns and various green salads as well as two green asparagus. Next to it was a rolled up boiled fish - a little unsure what kind of fish it was. The shooting star itself tasted quite good, but I have had far better shooting stars in many other places. When, in my opinion, it is recommended as a speciality, the fish fillets must be pan-fried in butter and not come from a deep fryer. The cooked fish was dry, tough and full of bones. We were served by two younger guys who did what they had to do with a smile on their face.
