Bone's Roskilde

We had a good lunch at Bones in Roskilde! The food was generally good, although the ribs were a bit small in portion size. A nice bonus is the free refill of sides, including French fries and sweet potato fries — you just need to ask the staff for more. The lunch deal was also great value, with a 2-for-1 offer on meals from the menu. The American-style ambience adds to the experience and makes it a nice place for a casual meal. One downside was that our drinks order was forgotten, so we had to follow up with the staff halfway through the meal. Hopefully, the service can be a little more attentive next time. Overall, a good spot for an American-style lunch, especially if you take advantage of the 2-for-1 deal!

The steak was cooked just to the hard side and there could have been some other kind of ice cream besides Vanilla and Pineapple.

Bone’s in Roskilde is quite simply the only place where you can throw your bones on the table with a clear conscience – and that’s exactly what makes it a brilliant institution. Here you get food that doesn’t require a bank guarantee or finely polished silverware, but that just delivers the goods every time you need a serious round of bones that are so tender that they almost fall off at the sight of a fork. It’s solid food at prices that most people can afford, without having to compromise on quality, which is a rarity these days. The service also deserves a huge pat on the back, because they are both welcoming and unusually friendly, even when the restaurant is buzzing with life and bustle, and it just makes the whole experience much more informal and cozy. If you’re looking for a place where you can let go of the nice sensations and just concentrate on getting food into your system, Bone’s in Roskilde hits the spot every time.

Fantastic place with charm and super nice service

The service and atmosphere were top notch. Super nice staff and a really cozy atmosphere in the place. Unfortunately, the food was nothing special. We both ordered a New York Strip Steak, where there was a large tendon through a large part of the meat, so you had to sit and spit out pieces several times. We also ordered their hot wings, and here we were very disappointed. Out of the six hot wings we got, three of them were wing tips with virtually no meat. I have never experienced a place serving wing tips as hot wings before. It's a shame, because both the service and the atmosphere were excellent, but the food unfortunately did not live up to the rest of the experience at all. Therefore, it will unfortunately not be a place I will return to.
