A great place to hide from the rain showers. I have just discovered the local beer Wiibroe 🍺.......thats good. Great service and English is spoken which is great 👍

Very good and reasonably priced sandwiches, with pickled salmon, fried plaice, eggs and shrimp. Good beer selection, especially the stout from Ærø was good. Nice outdoor seating as well.

The Smørrebrød here will rock your world. They tell you that you cannot pick and choose, but everything is amazingly good. While this is not an inexpensive place to eat, I would highly recommend it to everyone who wants to experience real Danish food.

Nice old Helsingor tavern in the old part of Helsingør. I've known it since I was a kid and my family would come by to quench my thirst. I've just been back with a group. We had each ordered 3 pieces of open sandwiches in advance. For me, it was one with fish fillet. One with fried egg and shrimp and the third with roast beef. Nice and tasty open sandwiches. The service. Sweet, friendly and attentive. Atmosphere. Good and cozy. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures as I was absorbed in the conversation in the good company and the nice surroundings.

Really cozy spot for lunch, excellent service too! You actually don’t get a menu and it’s a set meal for 135 krone from which you get 3 smorrebrod and a drink of choice. Great deal

12/09/2025: Hai Tai is centrally located in Helsingør, just a few steps from the train station to Copenhagen. Here you will find a classic Chinese buffet with lots of dishes that both small and large groups can enjoy. The atmosphere is lively and informal, and many Swedish guests also stop by. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the place a safe choice when you want to eat well in a cozy setting.

20/08/2025: I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Maison Asiatique in Denmark. We had dinner at this Chinese restaurant and tried several dishes. I ordered the shrimp noodles, which came with a nice mix of vegetables. At our table, we also had beef fried noodles and a soup with dumplings — the latter was probably not on the menu but requested specially by two of our Chinese friends. The restaurant itself has a fairly simple décor, with clean restrooms located upstairs. Service was friendly and efficient, though nothing particularly remarkable. Overall, it’s a good and practical option near the port, even if not directly on the waterfront.
