During a business trip to Flensburg, we stopped in Bov on the way home for dinner. It was a very positive experience. The cozy inn, the good service and the well-prepared dinner with excellent taste contributed to a pleasant experience.

Bov Kro is a classic inn right at the border, now with new owners, and we went to try it out.
I had the Dansk Bøf with bearnaise, fries and the usual sides. The fries deserve a special mention – absolutely amazing, crispy and addictive, and the fact that they keep them coming is a huge plus. The beef itself was nice, could have used a little more salt, and the bearnaise was a bit too thick for me. Still tasty, just a bit on the heavy side.
On top of that they served us cake afterwards, which was really good and in proper big portions. Together with the unlimited fries and sauce it feels very generous. Prices are fair too considering how much food you get.
The place itself is also worth mentioning. Bov Kro has a lot of history, and you see it in the old photos and details on the walls. The atmosphere is cozy and classic, and the garden is beautiful – a really nice setting to sit and eat. It feels like a proper inn experience, not just another restaurant.
All in all, great food, huge portions, and a lovely atmosphere in a historic spot.

Hyggelig kro, gode værelser. Maden er lækkert og vellavet og priserne gode. Men det bedste er det fantastiske personale og deres personlige betjening. Clever opladning ved svømmehallen lige rundt om hjørnet. Kan klart anbefales.
