Break Café Thisted

Everything is vegan, everything is delicious. What's cool is that there's no mention of the fact that all the food and drinks are vegan; this makes veganism a given.

We were genuinely surprised to find this café to be wholeheartedly plant-based — especially since they don’t advertise it loudly. Instead, they lean into a health‑focused, locally farmed, made‑from‑scratch approach, led by a female‑owned team that clearly cares about quality. It’s honestly refreshing; this is how food should be. We each had a burger: one jackfruit, one built around peas. Both were exceptional. It’s been a long time since we’ve eaten vegan food this well‑balanced. Finally someone who understands that plant‑based dishes don’t need to be drowned in chili or spices. The flavours of the ingredients merged subtly, enhancing each other and creating a palette worth celebrating. They also offer a selection of sweets and treats — I won’t even try to describe them. Just heavenly. As surfers, we loved the interior too. It fits the vibe of Nørre Vorupør perfectly.

The ambiance and the food are truly excellent. Unfortunately, it's quite expensive and you have to be prepared for a long wait. We waited 50 minutes for our small breakfast platter because the café was busy and there were only two employees.

Vegan café and restaurant. Very tasty and exceptionally good quality. Portions could be a bit larger. Great that there are such options here too, and a clear recommendation for everyone!

A lovely café with delicious drinks and a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. The attached shop also offers a great selection of beautiful and stylish items. A place you'll want to return to!

We stopped for some tea and cake on the way to the beach. The cafe and boutique were very visually pleasing with all the decorations etc. We got an iced chai, a flat white and a cappuccino. The iced chai was especially delicious. We also had the raspberry cheesecake. It was really good, more like a mousse. The spiced carrot cake wasn't really my thing. The atmosphere was great, we really enjoyed it.

We had a Peaceful Burger, the eggplant sandwich, and the quinoa bowl, followed by a sweet potato brownie. And what can I say? It was all a 10/10.

Although it was clear that the barista was trying to make something similar to specialty coffee, the result just wasn’t very good. I honestly would have preferred to skip the coffee altogether. We also had to wait a while before placing our order because the entire café is run by just one person. If someone orders breakfast before you, you’ll need to be patient while it’s being prepared.
