Brønnum consistently serves up delicious cocktails in a stylish setting. This time I tried the yuzu-based cocktail called Shibuya and it was absolutely fantastic. I could easily drink those all night. We sat outside to enjoy the warm weather, but the interior is also lovely and cosy during winter.

The weather was beautiful, so I wanted to seat outside. But that bartender, Spiros, that guy is the man so he made me want to sit inside. He also made me want to sit on his face. 10/10

Great bar, great drinks and a great bartender tonight. Read some review here about the ice:cocktail ratio and the thing is that a cocktail can reach a temperature of -3 degrees which essentially means that any ice that is touching the cocktail will give you less dilution over time. Cocktails are on a specific ratio and ingredients are measured, so you’re not getting cheated… i realize I’m paying a lot of attention to one review that I read. But yeah, seems like the knowledge needs to be spread ✌️

19/04/2025: There’s something special about this place — the kind of bar that doesn’t try too hard because it doesn’t have to. The beer list is always on point, rotating just enough to keep things interesting without losing the staples. Whether you’re into hazy IPAs, crisp lagers, or some funky sour you’ve never heard of, they’ve probably got it — and if they don’t, the bartender will recommend something better, Jimmy and Charly are true legends that will make you feel like you are home away from home. The vibe is easy — low light, good tunes, no pretense. People actually talk here. It’s the kind of spot you can wander into alone and leave feeling like a regular. Every city needs a bar like this. Most don’t have one. Lucky to call this my local.

18/07/2025: GAO Dumpling Bar is a solid spot if you’re craving dumplings in Copenhagen. The dumplings were full of flavor and came swimming in a rich, spicy chili oil sauce that added a real kick – especially the ones topped with cucumber and black sesame. The texture was spot on: nicely steamed and juicy inside. We sat outside on the little street patio, which had a very relaxed, casual vibe. It’s not fancy, but it works. The street is full of graffiti and character, and it all adds to the charm in its own way. We had a bottle of San Pellegrino and some extra soy sauce on the side – simple but satisfying. Service was quick, and the food came out hot. The portion size was decent, though a few more dumplings wouldn’t hurt for the price. Also, seating is limited, so expect to squeeze in or get takeaway if it’s busy. All in all, GAO is definitely worth a visit for a tasty, spicy dumpling fix – just don’t expect fine dining. We’ll be back!
