Brohuset ved Hammershus Bornholm

I'm thrilled. The view of Hammershus and the sea is fantastic. Add to that a delicious breakfast – a great way to start the day. I highly recommend the chicken sandwich. And I even charged my phone while I was there. Perfect for the next leg of the Kyststi trail.

Perfectly integrated into the landscape, you can learn about the castle's history, buy souvenirs, or grab a bite to eat. From the terrace, you have a beautiful view of the castle…

Lovely visitor centre with a very good museum shop. Great selection of ice cream (important point for our three-year-old) and souvenirs. Very reasonable prices. Fantastic view over Hammershus which we appreciated since it was pouring down during our visit. Kind staff in the museum shop and we really enjoyed our visit despite the weather. Plenty of restrooms that were clean and spacious. Would love to visit again when the weather is better.

The bridge house at Hammershus is much more than just a visitor center – it is the perfect place to start your experience at Hammershus. The building is modern and beautifully integrated into the nature, and from the terrace you get a fantastic view of the castle ruins and the sea. You can already feel the atmosphere here and feel like exploring. Inside there are exciting exhibitions that bring history to life for both children and adults. There is also the opportunity to buy something to eat or drink, take a break and enjoy the surroundings. The shop has nice souvenirs, and of course we also had to try the local ice cream brand – Krølle Bølle Is, which belongs to Bornholm. A well-thought-out and cozy place that makes the visit to Hammershus even better. We will definitely stop by again the next time we are on Bornholm.
