On a side street next to the hustle and bustle of Nyhavn. Quite an ok smörrebröd place, prices the same as anywhere else in the area.

Popped in for some Glögg and smorrebrød with a group of 6 people. Lovely warm atmosphere, tasty food, music wasn’t too loud, and the staff were extremely pleasant. Viggo in particular was charming and super attentive to our group. Thanks!

Popped into this place just off Nyehavn looking for some lunch as they advertised Smollebrod. Was a quirky but cool setup , looks like a pub , but the bar was a kitchen area too. Wasn’t disappointed , our server Viggo was great, and the manager / cook dude was engaging and friendly . The food was great , friendly and welcoming atmosphere , would recommend if you’re looking for a spot to relax and grab a bite and a glass of Atvavit.

12/08/2025: Such a nice place! I enjoyed the hotel convenience while living like a local in a Danish design room. Location is also super convenient, you can either walk to some main attractions or access to public transport easily.
04/08/2025: First timer for the social dinning experience at Kanalhuset. It was a great experience. Great food. Lovely staff. Unique experience. Highly recommend

08/06/2026: Really a lovely place that I frequent with both clients and privately. Really good food and nice service. Indoors the noise level can be loud at times and resounding. Outdoors is great when the weather is good. Nice service. During the summer holidays there can be quite a few tourists and on days when there are events in the party room next door there can be a bit of pressure on the service and the kitchen. But it is the best smørrebrød place in the northwest. And I will come again.
29/04/2026: Visited Café Bjerget today on a lovely spring day after a walk through the cemetery. We were lucky to get an outdoor table in the sun. The prices are on the higher side, but the open-faced sandwiches were really good, and the desserts were also delicious. Unfortunately one dessert had a large piece of plastic in it. Overall, a nice place with good food and a beautiful setting.
