The King of “Well, that was food” Burger King is a bit like getting a high five from someone with wet hands: You don’t quite know why you said yes, but now you’re here – and it wasn’t exactly a disaster. The food? Well, it’s okay. Flame-grilled, they say, and it tastes a bit like a campfire and childhood. The fries are crispy for about 4 minutes, and then they get the same consistency as a wet dishcloth. But hey, ketchup saves most things. The best thing about the place, though, is the kids’ area – or as I call it: the mini-gladiator arena. You can park the kids there in good conscience while they try to kill each other. It’s noisy, chaotic and magically perfect if you want to eat your burger in peace while pretending you don’t hear the screams. All in all, a great place to land if you’re too hungry to think and too tired to cook yourself. Not a culinary revelation, but definitely a solid three-star experience – with extra points for a survivable play area.
