Today we bought two Shrovetide buns, one with pistachio and whipped cream and one with daim and whipped cream, for a total price of 70 kr. Unfortunately, the experience was a bitter disappointment. The expectations were otherwise reasonable, but both Shrovetide buns appeared very anonymous in taste. The filling was close to tasteless, and the overall impression was uninteresting and without the pampering that one normally associates with a Shrovetide bun. It was simply not worth the money. The three stars I give are solely due to the bakery's breakfast cakes and rolls, which I have previously had good experiences with. When it comes to the Shrovetide buns, I unfortunately cannot give any stars this time. I hope that the quality can be improved in the future, because the potential is there, but this experience unfortunately left me more disappointed than satisfied.
