A hidden gem: delicious homemade cakes and a variety of coffee specialties. They also serve breakfast and cold drinks. Dogs are welcome outside, great service, and very friendly hosts! A visit is highly recommended.

We came across this gem while driving around Ebeltoft and were greeted by the friendly hosts, Anette and Bjarne. After a little chat with them, we enjoyed delicious rhubarb cake & compote, sourdough bread with butter & cheese and a good cup of coffee. There was a great view on the terrace where we also basked in the sun after a few days of rain, concluding our visit with cold drinks - rhubarb and cherry juice. Hopefully we'll visit again, it's one of our favorite places now.

We have just visited Café Boeslum Bakker. We arrived on bicycles, as the host couple, Anette and Bjarne, recommend on their website, so that guests can get the most out of this little gem. We ate their delicious buns (with and without gluten) with cheese, tuna or bacon, while we enjoyed the sun, each other's company and the beautiful view from the terrace.

24/07/2026: Here is a balanced and constructive review that appears credible on Google Maps: We had lunch at Restaurant Støvlen and ordered a shooting star and a burger. The shooting star is described on the menu as a new interpretation, but in my opinion it has been interpreted so much that it no longer resembles a classic shooting star. It felt more like a fish dish or lunch platter than what you normally expect when ordering a shooting star. The burger was made from good ingredients, but the steak, which according to the menu should be rare, was unfortunately cooked through. The quality of the ingredients was not wrong, and that adds to the experience. On the other hand, I don't think that the price and quality are completely related. The food was excellent, but overall the prices seemed a bit too high in relation to what we were served.
