Café Bopa København

We went for coffee a couple of days ago, after months of wanted to visit this cute place. The drinks were as expected. Nothing crazy, but a nice cup of tea and hot chocolate as you would expect in any regular coffee shop. The shop inside was insanely cozy and the decoration is the classic Danish style coffee shop, which I love <3 Unfortunately, the service wasn't super nice and made feel like we were bothering them. Maybe it was just that day, maybe there was a reason the person wasn't "in the mood", which is understandable to an extent, so we'll give it one more try and hope it doesn't happen again. But it would be nice (and take it from someone who is still working in hospitality, after 9 years) to make customers feel welcome. It doesn't take much. Just a warm "hello" is more than enough.

A great place to drop into either on its own, or if the queue at Juno Bakery, just up the road is too long to bear. Staff are really friendly and helpful, the space is low-key and cozy, and the food - I chose 5 breakfast items - was really good, and for Copenhagen, reasonable value. Even though people downgrade ratings on cost and value for food, that wasn't my experience, so I recommend you give it a try.

The coffee comes far too quickly compared to the food ordered.

Cozy classic cafe in Copenhagens lovely neighborhood of Østerbro. Maintains a decent level across but avoid the sweet (!) pickle in the burger for heavens sake. @bopa: You want it to be sour. Not sweet. Especially not when adding mustard sirup and and sweet BBQ sauce. It is supposed to be savory not a pastry! Besides that... like the place although I agree with other patrons that the service appear a bit oblivious at times. But they are doing a decent job and are super kind and helpful when approached...

The atmosphere here is absolutely wonderful — you feel at home the moment you walk in. The staff are incredibly friendly, kind, and flexible. They even let me grab a bite “on the clock” just as the kitchen was about to close, which I really appreciated. The food is excellent, the area is calm and pleasant, and overall it’s one of those rare places that always makes you want to come back. Definitely one of my favorite spots in town!
