Cafe Cosy Herning

Café Cosy is without a doubt our favorite restaurant in Herning. Whenever we feel like having a nice dinner or just a cup of coffee, we go there without a second thought. The service is always friendly and welcoming, and you feel really welcome. The food is delicious and made with good ingredients. Their steak is fantastic and cooked to perfection, and the desserts are just as good. We have visited the place many times and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended to anyone who appreciates good food, a cozy atmosphere and excellent service.

A nice medium sized cafe-restaurant. The food was good and varied. We had sliders, burger, quesadillas and steak. All dishes were good and plentiful. The prices are like most other places. We can only recommend it. Relatively handicap friendly. However, the toilets were too small for wheelchairs. But clean and neat.

Really good food that was also beautifully presented. We had burgers, kebab sandwiches, and falafel pancakes (wraps), and everything was very well seasoned. Highly recommended!

Awful experience with really bad service. We sat so we could see where the kitchen put the food out to the waiter. When our burger was brought out, they dropped the top of the burger and then picked it up from the floor and directly onto the burger again. When the waiter came and served it, we pointed it out and he went into the kitchen and quickly brought a new one. Simply unacceptable that they serve food that has been on the floor!!! Their bearnaise sauce was completely thin and tasted like knorr, sliders were tasteless. It was busy and not easy to get in touch with the waiters, when we finally managed to order dessert she was very angry and seemed irritated. She stood at one end of our long table and those sitting at the other end had to repeat the order several times because she didn't hear it and each time she got angrier and angrier. We will NOT be back. Practice celebrating a special day like that :(

I stopped by yesterday and ordered one of their dishes. The wine was really good for a house wine but where did the rice go for the chilli concarne? Way too much meat, a flatbread and so few side dishes. I spoke to her at the bar and she agreed that there was no rice but the chef apparently won't listen???

We have visited the place before and had a really good experience. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was friendly and welcoming, which is why we chose to come again. This time, however, we had a completely different experience. Around 3:35–3:40 PM (March 5, 2026), we were greeted by a black-haired waitress who told us that the table was reserved. The way it was said seemed a bit abrupt, almost as if we didn’t really get a chance to respond. She then showed us to another table, but while we tried to say something, she quickly moved on before the conversation was finished. Overall, the interaction felt rushed and not very welcoming. There was also a moment when she seemed unsure of what language we were supposed to speak, and asked if we were supposed to speak Danish, which made the situation a bit awkward. After being shown to another table, we actually chose not to sit down and left the place. We were quite hungry and also needed something to drink, so it was a real shame to leave like that. We have had a really good experience here in the past, so this experience was extra disappointing. When working in the service and catering industry, friendliness and common courtesy are very important, otherwise it can be difficult for guests to feel welcome.
