The outdoor seating, right by the canal, is a standout—offering a relaxed vantage point over the historic silhouette of the city. It’s an ideal setting to slow down and just take Copenhagen in. The coffee and dessert hold their own. A well-made cappuccino paired with a light, balanced apple pie makes for a satisfying, unpretentious break. Around happy hour, the mood shifts slightly as people unwind with a drink of their choice, adding a subtle social energy without disrupting the calm. Service is another strong point—the staff are attentive, helpful, and present without being intrusive, which fits the overall tone perfectly. All in all, Café Diamanten is a great, relaxing alternative to busier or more polished spots—somewhere you go not to be impressed, but to feel at ease.

I just wanted to sit somewhwere calm in the area, but I got a very good service, beer and food here! The personnel are very friendly, the general "Platte" gives you almost everything you want to try in Copenhagen. It's a very authentic, not so over-booked place, I'd advise anyone, who are the first time here.

We went in winter: cosy, warm, welcoming service, great smorrebrod (beware the hot mustard on the brisket!), fantastically light apple pie, excellent coffee.
