Cafe Frederiksberg Aalborg

We arrived at 4pm to have a sip of beer and something to eat. We ordered steak sandwiches about ten minutes before 17, when the kitchen opens. We were the only ones who had to have something to eat in the less than half-full restaurant. Despite that, it took over three quarters of an hour before we got our food. A beautiful looking steak sandwich. Unfortunately, both steak and gravy were lukewarm at best. Possibly because of that we got the impression of steak in a can. The structure of the sandwich itself was otherwise completely by the book. The fries had definitely had enough deep frying and, like the rest, were somewhat disappointing.

Simply a gem at the start of Vejgaard. The food is unusually tasty and the prices are reasonable. Cozy place with a wonderful atmosphere.

Café Frederiksberg is a cozy place. But just on New Year's Eve, there was very little control over things, none of the staff knew anything, about anything. No structure, at food serving, no one was ever told it was their turn. We went home, well before midnight, a bit of a shame, because it could have been good. It's something to think about for next New Year's Eve.

Cecilie is one the nicest and most enthusiastic waitresses. She provided some very fast and always went the extra mile on her service. Great evening, highly recommended if you’re looking for some Danish cuisine
