If I were living in the city, I wouldn't let you know about here. Enjoy, while I'm not there.

Always brimming with people, this place is such a vibe. It’s nearly dark inside like a cocktail bar, but feels more like a living room. Recommended!

A pleasant time spent enjoying the delicious sharing plates and tasty bread. Light service.

Nice location, simple pub a bit expensive for what you got "simple" - but the location is really good on a quiet street near the pulse and Nørreport in Copenhagen.

We drove by with the goal to go some other place but Gavlen looked so nice and cozy from the outside that we had to go in. Sounds funny but it actually smells cozy in there. We had a great time and will recommend the place to friends

Hooked

29/08/2026: Fish & Chips is good, but nothing justifies 40 DKK for a bottle of tap water
30/07/2026: Pleasant place with truly exceptional service! The food was hit-or-miss, though, the fish burger was on the dry side. Still worth a visit for the good vibes and hospitality

Sofiekælderen

08/09/2026: Back to the '80s nothing has changed
28/08/2026: We had drinks at Sofie Kælderen before we had a table at another restaurant nearby – but we came back later in the evening because it’s just so cozy here 💫 We found a great spot outside, right down to the canal, and the staff made sure we didn’t lack for anything – neither drinks nor a good atmosphere ✨
