Nice place to eat after the funeral. Nice to be able to go outside and sit close to the harbor

We had Café Holmen cater our wedding and we were completely satisfied from start to finish. Everything went smoothly and the food was delicious. A great experience all the way through – Café Holmen is highly recommended!

A rainy, windy day turned into an experience of the absolute best with a spontaneous visit to "Holmen" in the beautiful old buildings at Nykøbing harbor. Half of us ordered the "dish of the day", which was fried peeled plaice, 2 pieces per person, with new, delicious boiled potatoes with peel, fried lemons + 0.5l of special beer. The others got "shooting stars" and a "toast" respectively. We are already "picky" fish eaters, but the skilled waitress "persuaded" us with her enthusiastic recommendation to try it. "Hold da maule" how good it was!!!, big thick plaice that was coated with an absolutely thin, almost non-existent layer of breadcrumbs, with a few sprigs of spices (including fried lemon) that just emphasized the delicious taste of the fresh fish. The setting, a high-ceilinged old room with two doors and windows, gave a view of part of the harbor just outside, a crystal chandelier in the ceiling, a shelf with coffee pots running around a few meters up the wall. The furniture was a mixed collection of older tables and chairs/sofas, which decoratively emphasized the room's almost "Skagen-like hotel atmosphere". Satisfied beyond "decent", with about a 1/2 plaice lying together with two dishes with the peeled remains of fish bones, we left the restaurant full and comfortable! A great experience - we will come again!

Super good experience and really good food. Can only give the warmest recommendations. The food was so good that I was going to give them a good review despite the fact that they made a small mistake with the order and forgot that I had bought fries, but they made sure that I got them as soon as possible and took the mistake on their shoulders. So despite the small mistake I can now only give them 5/5

We have eaten there twice during our summer vacation and were satisfied. Last time the young man at the cash register wanted a tip. I told him that in Denmark I never tip (except in exceptional circumstances) as I expect everyone to get their collective wage. He then stated that there was no collective agreement here. So you know. Why don't young people join a union?
