I ordered a "new" dish that is supposed to be the Italian risotto with Nduja. It was more of a rice porridge taste I got, as I think milk was used and the Nduja, which should be an Italian sausage, was overcooked and not tasty. The dish is a failure and I wouldn't eat it even if I was paid to do so. The waiter brought the wrong drink that we hadn't ordered and it seemed like the person got mad because we pointed it out.

Cosy enough place down by the water across from the castle. Foos is good but please note that ”kitchen opening hours” is not necessarily an indication of when to expect the kitchen to be open. Slow nights, means closing early. Judging from the party downstairs, it can be a really good place to let out some steam.

The location is beautiful, with incredible views of the castle by the lake, very good value for money, and excellent service from the staff.

One of the best burgers I had in my life. The stuff were nice as well, and the window tables have the nice view on a castle. Ah, and the portion of the potatoes is just enormous

Beautiful restaurant with excellent food and great service. Menu in Danish and English. The waitresses spoke excellent English. I had the veggie burger, and it was very good, juicy, and flavorful.

The café terrace offers a beautiful view of the castle. A big positive surprise was the extremely friendly waiters who spoke Polish.

Het eten was niet vies, maar ook niet fantastisch; de hamburger was begraven in saus en was vrij rauw van binnen, de zalm was droog en klein. Wel vriendelijke bediening en het eerste restaurant in Denemarken waar we met onze hond binnen mochten zitten. Serveerster gaf onze hond een bakje water en kwam regelmatig vragen of we nog iets nodig hadden. Lekkere (speciale) koffie en biertjes.

12/09/2025: Went to an 80th birthday party (family lunch buffet) The food was a really delicious, flavorful traditional Danish lunch buffet. The food was what pulled it all together. The service from the young waiters was nice, they did a good job, but it was marked by commands from a grumpy head waiter, who seemed to be really annoyed about having to be at work. Because you could barely put your fork down before your plate was gone. We had to ask several times for more bread and butter on the tables. The dessert, which was a brownie, was so small that you could barely see it. And the coffee cups were also removed before you could look around.. all in all, it seemed like the head waiter wanted to go home as soon as possible... a shame, because it puts the mood down on a day when there was supposed to be a celebration.. but the food was delicious
25/05/2025: Lovely visit. Such wonderful food and really good service. A lactose free dessert was conjured up. Thank you very much. We will be back.
