Surprisingly good food and super, duper location right next to the castle lake

Really nice place with the most beautiful view of Slotssøen. Lovely service and really good and inviting food.

The café was nice enough, but felt a bit pretentious, especially since the food was basically just regular café food. The tenderloin was cooked perfectly, but unfortunately the quality of the meat did not live up to the price. On the other hand, the chocolate cake was absolutely fantastic.

Good dining experience with a lovely view of the lake, as well as polite and attentive service.

I had a wonderful experience at Cafe Kik! I arrived just a few minutes before the brunch ordering time ended, but the waitress was incredibly kind and accommodating, making sure I could still place my order. The brunch itself was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. What made the experience even more special was the stunning view of Frederiksborg Castle right from my table, which added so much charm to the meal. A truly memorable brunch experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back 🌱

Nice restaurant on the waterfront opposite the castle. The food is good, but certainly not cheap.

Problem redeeming Smartbox ended up having to pay with Dankort😒

Het eten was niet vies, maar ook niet fantastisch; de hamburger was begraven in saus en was vrij rauw van binnen, de zalm was droog en klein. Wel vriendelijke bediening en het eerste restaurant in Denemarken waar we met onze hond binnen mochten zitten. Serveerster gaf onze hond een bakje water en kwam regelmatig vragen of we nog iets nodig hadden. Lekkere (speciale) koffie en biertjes.
