Café Lindevang Frederiksberg

Cozy restaurant and the food was also nice. Unfortunately the service was not good. We came on Wednesday 22/7 a little after 3 pm and were greeted by a slightly annoyed attitude from the waiter right from the start. It felt a bit like it was a nuisance for her that we showed up. The service was rushed through, and when I asked if I could close the door because of the draft I was greeted with a resigned expression on my face. It seemed more like we had interrupted her conversation with a colleague/friend who she was sitting with and talking and laughing and scrolling on her phone. We hope it is just this one waiter and not a picture of the general level of service at the restaurant as the food and atmosphere were otherwise lovely.

Cozy historic place. Average classic food. We had Wienerschnitzel and pancakes for dessert. The latter seemed reheated and not so tasty. However, it was a busy evening, which the service also reflected.

Got a couple of good pieces of sandwiches.

Good traditional lunch. The herring plate comes with 3 different kinds of herring in generous quantities. I give my warmest recommendation

Good classic Danish food in plenty. Was back again, this time for dinner. Good idea to make a reservation. New owners, but same vibe and experienced service. Absolutely good experience of classic Danish food.

i tried Café Lindevang on a random day and honestly didn’t expect much, but it ended up being such a cozy spot. The food was simple but really satisfying, and everything tasted fresh like it was made with care, plus the staff were easygoing which made me want to stay a bit longer.

What a fabulous place, cosy and full of character, the food was huge and outstanding
