Cafe Mathilde//Madam Smed Frederikshavn

We came with a group of 10 people, we asked if it was possible to reserve but it wasn't possible. We ordered some brunch and some of us ordered the dagens brunch, without knowing that it would take so long and that it came with eggs and bacon. Only some of us were from Denmark, as you may understand in other Europeans countries it is mandatory to mention every thing on the menu. I guess it is not the case in Denmark, but it would be nice of you to mention everything on it. I would recommend to anyone going there to make sure you have time, we waited 1h30-2h. But the food was nice and we really loved the decorations.

I saw a review of Café Matilda and decided to stop in and check it out, right from the beach. It's a truly atmospheric place! Even though the staff was constantly busy with customers, we were captivated by the warm, casual atmosphere. Small tables inside and outside the café. Tons of photos and T-shirts about the Tour de France. Beautiful French music plays softly from the speaker on the counter. There's also a cozy souvenir shop in the back, where you can sit, enjoy dessert, and buy something special. I was tempted by a unique mug for my friend. There's also an incredible room where Christmas reigns supreme! Garlands, Christmas trees, nisi, and Christmas decorations! We'll definitely be back with friends!

Me and my family came for breakfast here and the food was amazing! All of the staff are super friendly and happy to help you out. Such a good little spot, there is a shop to the back of the cafe too which has lots of lovely things inside. Could not recommend enough! Definitely worth a try!!!

Really a cozy place in Sæby, sincere and good service, I enjoyed a nice cup of coffee and a piece of cake and got some work done.

This Café serves the most amazing, fresh and tasty food. A perfect choice for lunch or coffee and dessert. Everything on the menu is delicious and their fries are some of the best I have ever eaten, crispy on the outside and deliciously fluffy inside - really outstanding! The Caesar salad is my favourite item on the menu and their milkshakes are also excellent. The cakes and pastries are also not to be missed, and they sell out fast. The menu also offers a vegan burger and falafel. Both the Café and it's menu are kid-friendly too. The atmosphere is delightful - warm and friendly, with vintage vibes and a unique cycling-themed decor. The staff are very helpful and attentive, happy to translate menu items and recommend food to best suit your tastes. A unique feature is the delightful shop at the back of the Café, a treasure-trove of interesting items. Not to be missed!
