We found it pretty nice here. The owner, much described in other reviews, was there, but she didn't serve. There were two employees there. We're pretty sure the owner was sitting at the table at the front, right outside the indoor area. He got up often and seemed satisfied. A very nice employee served me inside. Quiet and accommodating. Location 1a. Tables were clean and the bushes around them had just been trimmed. The apple pie wasn't my cup of tea, but that's a matter of taste. Coffee with milk was great.

The owner sat with his feet on the chair and did not greet the guests who came. The dog was lying right in front of the entrance door, making entry and exit difficult. In addition, she scolded an employee so that the guests could hear it.

Dejligt mad, dejligt service, dejligt udsigt. Det var super fint at finde stedet efter en smuk gåtur ved klipperne--maden smagte godt, og isen var endnu bedre. Vi kommer igen!

20/08/2024: I am amused by the horrified reviews from people who apparently didn't know what they were getting into until beforehand. I mean, the place screams 80s, time warp and old routines. I can easily talk about sourdough pastries from Andersen, Juno, Alice and Hart in Copenhagen, but none of them offer what Thorsen offers; a bit of the old days. The bread should preferably be weighed on a gram scale, smeared with Kærgården butter or 3-star salami and slathered in the corner of the mouth. And the dear baker Thorsen is based on those parameters. When reviewers write about 'Denmark's worst baker', it is because baker Thorsen is probably the last one left of his kind. When Thorsen turns the key, it is a farewell to a simpler time, where everything does not have to be measured and weighed and accounted for. I recommend visiting Bager Thorsen for the total experience of the 80s baker.
28/06/2024: Could it be, not only Bornholm's but Denmark's best vienna bread?
