Went to cafe Olai today 16.10.20, there are new young owners, new menu. I got a caesar salad, my guest a piece. with smoked eel, both deep-fried cammenbert with delicious side dishes, bread, coke and beer for a total of DKK 503. not cheap, but okay, it was all good quality. Clean, neat and nice service, friendly and positive. They have mouth visors on. We wore a mask, I lacked alcohol at the door, but otherwise I can only recommend it. Would love to come again. Helle Walther And we came again after Corona today, 22.6.21. for lunch with a good friend. And again I have to give the place 5 stars, for interior, service and especially the food. Delicious, smartly arranged, well prepared, perfect fish fillet, warm liver pâté and crispy meatballs with flavor, as well as an exquisite brie, bread both coarse and white delicious and fresh... So visit Helsingør and enjoy lunch there. I was also there today 2024 d.11/6, had delicious baked prawns with garlic dressing, fritters and salad, it was super good, and a deep-fried cannembert with lingonberries. Also delicious and fresh. Can definitely be recommended. Only the noise level may have been quite high. Reasonable price and the cafe has been changed a bit for the better. Really good

Good food, good service and lovely atmosphere. I will return here several times. We ate ground beef very good 200 g hamburger which was much above the usual, couldn't bear to eat it.

Ok lunch restaurant, friendly staff if the restaurant is full there will be a lot of noise as it is small.

Vi var 9 midaldrende mænd, som havde god appetit efter flere timers udendørs aktivitet og sen frokost. Frokostplatten var rigelig til at alle blev mætte og rigtig flot anrettet, og til en fornuftig pris. Den hjemmelavede herresnaps med chili var et hit - også for dem, der normalt ikke er så vilde med snaps. Hyggelig og uhøjtidelig servering med plads til en sjov bemærkning. Vi er en gruppe spredt ud over det meste af Nordsjælland, men det er absolut ikke sidste gang, at vi samles på Café Olai for at nyde en klassisk dansk frokost, der skylles ned med god øl og hjemmelavet snaps
