Filled up but cozy, so went home early

🌊🎢 Lalandia Billund – Denmark’s biggest family magnet and wallet vacuum 🎢🌊 Lalandia is the kind of place where the kids go crazy with joy, and the adults go crazy with… financial shock. It’s THE ultimate package deal: you stay in a summer house, the kids are let loose in a water park, Monkey Tonky Land and a “winterland” that’s so white that even Christmas gets nervous. But let’s start with the most dominant thing in the whole experience: the fumes of chlorine. There’s a heavy cloud of childhood memories and mild chemical warfare hanging in the air. You walk in as a human and come out as a lightly marinated shrimp. And of course, this is where you pass by the Restaurant Row™: pizzerias, buffets, burger bars, ice cream parlors – and what I’d call a children’s casino with flashing lights and things that say TING TING TING until your brain melts. This is also where Lalandia decides to pull your wallet out of your pocket and massage it until it screams: “STOP, I CAN’T DO ANYMORE!!” 💸💸💸 The water park is huge, and the kids love it, but the water is so full of chlorine that your eyelashes start to say goodbye to your body after just 20 minutes. You walk around with tingling skin and think: “Am I in for family fun or light water torture?” The staff? They are actually super nice and friendly – ​​and you can tell they really try to keep the spirits up, even though 400 kids are screaming at slush ice and a dad with no shoes is shouting that he’s lost his bracelet. Respect! But… the prices. If you are a family of five, I hope you either: 💰 have won the Lotto 💳 have a credit card with no limit or 🐒 can teach your children to eat air and love Because otherwise Lalandia can become the kind of experience where you sweat more from the prices than from the sauna. All in all: A fantastic place for children. A great place for adults. A dangerous place for the economy. Rating: 3 out of 5 chlorine bottles – the last two disappeared in the children's casino along with my mental health. 🧪

Very clean, spacious cottages. The kitchen is very well equipped.

If you're having a big meeting, the hall is huge. The parking lot is also big. There are good toilet facilities.

We had a 5-day stay in Billund. Two adults, two children, and two dogs. The house was nice, and the kitchen was better equipped than expected. We were accommodated quite far from the Lalandia Center, about a 15-minute walk. Entry to the swimming pool and the Monky Tonky indoor playground was included in the price. We opted against the gold bracelet because our children are still too young for most of the activities. The center itself is very consumer-oriented – you can't get to the swimming pool without passing shops, arcade games, candy stores, etc. The swimming pool itself is great, of course, but it was incredibly crowded during our stay. Some of the slides had such long queues that we could just forget about them. Monky Tonky Land, on the other hand, is nothing special. Nice to have, but we only went once and wouldn't have needed to visit again. There's also a train running in the park, but it only runs every half hour, and it's so crowded that you can't really get on. The food at the center is ridiculously overpriced. They wanted €150 for a buffet with two freebies. That's outrageous for pizza and such. We had to wait 45 minutes for four pizzas to take away. There was an extra charge for dogs, but they didn't provide anything. The dog park is a joke; you can walk around it in three minutes. Would I go back? Probably not...

Tiny margins from full pot, to this result. Everything is perfect mtp Lego Land, Lalandia etc. Unfortunately a little more trouble when booking via Color Line, and meeting with the service office down there mtp the withdrawal of bands etc. Codes and place to stay are clearly explained. If you are a family with young children and unlucky you can end up right next to cabins in the field that run a full party all night. Then mtp open the window for air and scream and shout, pulls down so that the total ends at 4/5. But all in all a great place with great staff who try to do their best.

We spent five nights at Lalandia in the summer and, for the most part, had a great time: the Aquadome was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed doing lots of the activities on offer. The surrounding playground, obstacle course, and two 5-a-side football pitches (with artificial turf) also ensured that we had plenty to do outdoors. Being able to walk over to Legoland and spend the day there was also a highlight. The on-site shop also had a good selection of products and reasonable opening times. The staff there and around the Lalandia resort were approachable and friendly. Sadly, hygiene is an issue (apart from the Aquadome, which I found to be very clean, even in the male changing rooms). For instance, dustballs were visible around the minigolf course and, according to our friends, the indoor playground too. Also, the communal bowling shoes were not sprayed after each use, which is minging given that people were wearing them with bare feet. The actual accommodation was disappointing. The beds were horrendous with soft, manky old mattresses with signs of bed bugs (I slept on the small sofa for 5 nights). It's beyond my comprehension why the mattresses aren't in protective covers. There were no insect screens on the windows despite a Lalandia leaflet informing guests that mosquitoes are normal there. The TV was dated, so it wasn't possible to mirror my phone to watch a film in the evening. In short, we loved our days there and had a lot of fun. If it weren't for the grubby, uncomfortable mattresses, I would have already booked again for next year without a doubt – maybe even for the March and the summer. As it stands, I'll look for alternatives.
