Good straightforward breakfast without being too fancy. Nice Nice.

We stopped here for brunch. On the menu it says that you can order breakfast until 12:30. The place was very busy and clearly understaffed, and only had a small kitchen. You have to order at the counter, sometimes wait a long time in line. Two of us managed to place our orders around 11:30, while we were waiting for one more friend to arrive. When the two other girls went to order around 11:45-11:50, they were told that the kitchen has already closed and they have to wait until 13.00 to order lunch. That was very odd, given they are supposed to take orders until 12.30. Since we already paid for our orders, we had no choice but to wait and eat our meals while the other two girls couldn't get any food. The waiters also kept forgetting to bring us everything that we had ordered, they forgot my friend's filter coffee but brought eveyone else's cappucinos and lattes, her juice somehow sold out during the wait and had to choose something else, and the boiled egg came long after she had finished the rest of her brunch plate. She also had to ask and remind the waiters about her order all the time because they kept promising to bring it around and forgetting an item or two each time. The waiting time for our food was also around 45 minutes. Overall, it was not a great experience, I understand that restaurants are busy, but maybe scale back if you cannot handle the amount of orders/customers that you have allocated space for, it makes a bad impression.

Cozy place with nice service, but the food is just mediocre.

Very cute little place, especially on a sunny day with tables overlooking the canal. The food is good, but the wait was truly eternity for everything, so if you're in a hurry, consider carefully what to order.

Found this place accidentally while walking around Copenhagen and decided to stop for lunch - I was very satisfied. There was a free table, the food arrived quite quickly, and the dish was really interesting in taste with great quality ingredients. Highly recommend for a relatively quick lunch!

It is a truly wonderful brunch cafe. Everything is perfect; it is that very Copenhagen-esque place. I visited after checking it out on a famous Copenhagen YouTube channel, and I was so satisfied. I think places like this make Copenhagen even more amazing. The food, the vibe, the service—it was absolutely perfect. 🥹

Café Sandø is on the BMO bandwagon, but you have to get there early if you want to be lucky enough to get one. We came two hours before the menu changed for lunch, and there were no more left. Fortunately, they have other options than BMO, but these alternatives are on the expensive side in my opinion. The coffee had the feel of high-quality beans, but I'm curious how they manage to get so much grounds in a filter coffee? In my opinion, there was nothing interesting for the sweet tooth. Nothing has been done to make the café stand out visually or to provide good acoustics.

A small and cozy restaurant for breakfast. You have to figure things out a bit on your own, as the waitstaff doesn't come to your table; you have to order at the counter. The food was very good, though, and the service was friendly. I wouldn't go there again specifically for that, however.
