Café Vaabengaard Gribskov

Nice restaurant where I have previously tried the house fish dish. Unfortunately this time I came so late that the kitchen was closed and therefore had to settle for a cappuccino. Highly recommended as a good place to eat if you come to Gilleleje.

A beautiful fishing village with several restaurants, a highly recommended and pleasant promenade, a lovely restaurant tastefully decorated, with quick and polite service, and a terrace equipped with heaters and blankets. The food was of very good quality. We ordered herring, fried fish, smoked salmon, potato toast with fried onions, prawn salad, and avocado toast. The presentation and setting were excellent.

We arrived here for lunch, but just to late so the friendly waiter got us a cappucino and a tastefull home - made cake. Great place, nice view and we''ll be back.

Lovely cafe and really nice staff. Quality of food and taste is consistent.

I had the avo toast with extra scrambled eggs and it was unreal. My bf had the bunch plate and it was very filling and tasty. Bread, croissants and desserts were fresh, out of the oven. Lovely!

Really cozy place in nice surroundings, the brunch was top notch with homemade food and good fresh ingredients, and a really friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit and not the last time we come!

Ready for lunch while biking around North Zealand, we asked a local gentleman for a reco. Happily, he sent us here. There’s outdoor seating but we opted for indoors, which meant a charming spot under the eaves of an A-frame building with a tall window overlooking the harbor. Our foursome’s choices were salad with hot smoked salmon, fish cakes and trio of herring in different sauces. Terrific!
