Really cozy place in nice surroundings, the brunch was top notch with homemade food and good fresh ingredients, and a really friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit and not the last time we come!

Ready for lunch while biking around North Zealand, we asked a local gentleman for a reco. Happily, he sent us here. There’s outdoor seating but we opted for indoors, which meant a charming spot under the eaves of an A-frame building with a tall window overlooking the harbor. Our foursome’s choices were salad with hot smoked salmon, fish cakes and trio of herring in different sauces. Terrific!

Fantastic place and cozy Sten and Dorthe run this place by the harbor in Gilleleje. There is good energy and attention to detail and good taste in everything they do. And they make damn good coffee 😋👏🏻👌

The food is top notch, while the service is slow. We were two people who ordered a table. We were allowed to move to an empty table in the sun. We had called in and ordered for a vegan in the company and when we arrived we also mentioned this. The waiters don't smile but they're not rude either, they just make some awkward faces if you give them a smile. We ordered a fish dish and a vegan version of their avocado toast. The bread for the dish came relatively quickly, so it had time to get cold before the fish dish, which came 20 minutes later. We asked for vegan pesto for the bread because we thought it was for the table and not for the fish dish. The avocado toast arrived and halfway through it we discovered that they had used a pesto with cheese in it. There was a little apology and then a new one was made, so another 10 minute wait. The fish dish arrived without the remoulade and herb mayo that it usually contains, so we had to remind the staff of that. The fish is relatively fresh, some of the vegetables are extremely fresh and tasty, including asparagus, while other things like tomatoes and salad are nothing special. The fish is standard, not particularly fresh, but not old either. For example, the smoked salmon did not melt on the tongue, and the crayfish tails were not particularly juicy, the plaice fillet was a bit on the thin side, but the breading on it was fantastic and it was fried in butter so very tasty, however the breading fell apart when you tried to eat it. The ingredients are fresh, but it is the restaurant's own products that are worth highlighting, the bread, the remoulade, the pesto, the herb mayo, all worth coming for, the fish is nothing out of the ordinary and considering it is on a harbor, the fish is not exceptionally fresh or juicy. The food tastes good though and the portions are satisfactory. The atmosphere is cozy and it is quiet as it is located away from all the noise from major busy roads.

Delicious food, good bread, good service, reasonable prices

Incredibly delicious food. And we certainly can't complain about the view of the harbor. Sweet and welcoming staff. It's a bit of a letdown that after a short wait we had to go in and order the food ourselves. The table wasn't wiped clean and there were no napkins. Small things, but a bit annoying. We'll definitely come back another time.

Cozy atmosphere. Possibility to sit both outside and inside, although up a very steep staircase. The food was delicious and tasty. Service friendly and accommodating.
