Cafe Væksthuset Frederiksberg

20/02/2025: Bought a delicious bun to take home. I had a bucket with me and was given sourdough for free in the bucket. So now I can skip a whole week of starting and feeding a sourdough. Looking forward to baking with the sourdough.

17/02/2025: Meyer's original first and very popular café, in the middle of Gl. Kongevej, which has changed style several times over the years. Here, girlfriends meet for a 2-hour chat & latte, stroller people park their sleds outside(!), boyfriends and older people for a cup of coffee and a cinnamon roll. The place is not big and resembles a confused cafeteria where people are constantly coming in and out. The service is help-yourself, including clearing the table from the hipsters and nerds who are above that kind of thing. The prices are on the contrary on the high end, for the organic opinion-forming food that is forced on you. Cozy, but Meyer's brand has eroded and it has been much better.
