The only real Italian restaurant run by two Italians from Genoa, in the city of Copenhagen. The sandwich that was from ha paura!

Wow! What an amazing deli. Very helpful and delicious. Cannillo was recommended by a friend we were visiting. We walked in and obviously looked confused and fascinated. The shop owner explained the sandwich menu and how it worked. We ordered and watched in awe as he made it sandwiches, enjoying the amazing smell of the fresh baked bread. He then gave us suggestions as to where we could enjoy our picnic lunch, we opted for the Rose Garden down the street by the beach. The sandwiches are HUGE. We could have easily split one but selfishly, I'm glad we did not.

Best Italian sandwiches. We’ve been visiting this place for 30 years and the quality of the sandwiches has remained high. We will certainly be back again.

Restaurant Hellerup Sejlklub

03/12/2025: I can highly recommend Restaurant Hellerup Sejlklub. We had the dish of the day, which was fried pork with parsley sauce. Even though there were many guests, we got our food very quickly. It was tasty and quite okay for the price, which was 124,-kr.
19/11/2025: Hellerup Sejlklub is a small (well hidden) gem, in a bright room with a sea view, maritime decoration and the city's best open sandwiches. There were 3 of us who all had the almost freshly caught plaice, pan-fried with home-made "remo", and avocado mash with roasted almonds, and silky herring snacks. All served by the young, but super-attentive waiter. It's not the first time I've had lunch there and certainly not the last.
