If you are in the area, this is a good place to try some danish dishes. Reasonable priced and hearty.

Reasonable and good food. The food is delivered quickly, you get what you order and the portions are generous. A big hungry man will be satisfied. I ordered pork with potatoes, red cabbage, pickles and sauce. It was tender meat with crispy skin and 6 potatoes!!! A lot of food for the money.
From the pictures that can be found online, it matches what is delivered and experienced.

I got the roast pork (Flæskesteg). The crackling wa the highlight as it was super crispy. The portion was generous as well, very filling and proper hearty comfort food.
Great value for money considering how expensive Copenhagen can be and the whole place had a traditional feel. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Good beers too.

We were searching for traditional Danish food on our last night in Copenhagen and found Chicky's, just a 15 min walk from the Tivoli Hotel in the Meatpacking District. We arrived around 6:00 PM and had no wait, although many reviews recommend making a reservation if you're coming after 5:30 PM.
We sat inside, and the restaurant has a very dated, no-frills feel, so don't expect anything glitzy or glamorous. The booths were a bit tight, but there is outdoor seating available if the weather is nice. One thing to note is that you order at the counter first, and then the food is brought to your table.
We ordered the crispy pork platter, the fried fish sandwich, and chicken nuggets for the kids. Unfortunately, the crispy pork platter was disappointing. The pork itself was bland and very dry, while the crispy skin was extremely salty and very hard. The gravy was also lacking flavor, but the cabbage and pickles helped bring some balance to the dish.
The fried fish sandwich, however, was excellent. The fish was perfectly fried and flaky, topped with tiny shrimp mixed in a creamy mayo, salmon roe, and fresh lettuce on rye bread. It was easily the highlight of the meal.
The kids' nuggets were just standard frozen nuggets—nothing particularly memorable.
The total came to about +300 dkk for three dishes, two juices, and a Carlsberg.
Overall, I'm glad we had the chance to experience a traditional Danish meal. While the crispy pork platter didn't live up to our expectations, the fish sandwich made the visit worthwhile.

Came here speaking no danish and they were very welcoming to foreigners. I ordered a the danish national dish and realized it did not match my tastes. So they made me a new one at no charge and refused to let me pay. Very nice people and the second meal was really really delicious.

Rustic local experience. Super authentic, yet tourist friendly. The pork and crackling was really good.

I went to Chicky Grill Bar for an authentic Danish experience, and it delivered! The food was exceptional, the portion lasted me the whole day, and the staff was very welcoming and friendly.
Make this place your top priority when you visit Copenhagen!
