I got the roasted chicken sandwich with pesto. It was really good, but it was just very expensive for the size of sandwich you get.

Hello me and my boyfriend where here for a quick snack and we liked it so much the bread was very tasty en the woman that helped us was very friendly and helped us with the places that we needed to see!

Secreted away in plain sight on the ground floor of the tony Hotel Skt. Annæ is Chill-ee, a simple, artisanal sandwich and salad counter. In a city known for gastro-snootiness, the folks at Chill-ee are down to earth snd welcoming. Everything is handmade, and the bread is freshly-baked and crusty. A ham and cheese sandwich may sound mundane, but here it is a real treat. Spicy tuna? Check. The sandwich in this photo is the chicken. During the summer you can sit outside and people watch. I am a local and a regular. Highly recommended.

04/12/2025: The atmosphere is truly enchanting, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. It’s hard to evaluate the food quality because it was served cold. With the steak, they didn’t even bother to bring the proper knife. We had to wait a very long time for our food, with no appetizers offered while waiting. The service was cold and unfriendly, which makes me want to avoid this place in the future — especially when it was obvious that local guests were being served quickly and with a smile. It’s such a shame that such a beautiful place is ruined by poor service. Even empty glasses that were clearly no longer needed were left on our table.
