They were super busy when we walked in for dinner, we didn’t have a reservation but got sat down right away. It was pretty loud but you could still talk, and the service was quite quick. The food and wine were really good, I highly recommend the Bo Kho, Beef ragout w eggnoodles - the beef practically fell apart.

We stopped to take a break because the outdoor seating caught our attention while walking. It's located in a lovely neighborhood. We sat outside, had something to drink, and enjoyed the view. We tried the chicken rolls; they were incredibly delicious.

First, the good: The place itself is charming and atmospheric, if a little on the large side to be cosy. The tasting menu was fine and filling. Now the bad. My wife loves Vietnamese food, so I had booked a table at Cholon for our 35th wedding anniversary. But when we arrived we were shown to a tiny circular table by the door, about the size of a bicycle wheel. All the other tables in the place were of normal size. We asked for another table and were told there was none available. It was only when we decided to leave that they offered us a normal-sized table that had somehow magically appeared. Not impressed.

Quality ingredients, the noodle salad and pork wontons were flavourful, though the pho broth was maybe a little bland. Service was good, but it did get busy as we were there so it did slow down. Lovely looking place though with good decor.

25/10/2025: Food was hot and fresh highly recommend. Good service the man behind the cash register had a positive energy and good prices 150 kr for a menu there is nothing to complain about.
04/10/2025: I ordered a Smokeys Crazy Cheese menu at Smokeys Burger Bar on Vesterbrogade – and it was a top-notch experience! The burger was 10/10, really tasty and juicy, and their fries were just in the cupboard with the perfect amount of salt. There was also some greens, which gave a fresh touch – I don’t know exactly what it was, but it went surprisingly well. The service was also top-notch. The guy at the cashier was super friendly and added both a chili mayo and a gringo mayo for free – it’s just the little things that make a huge difference. Fast service, great atmosphere and really delicious food. Can only recommend Smokeys – here you get both quality, taste and service at a high level 👌🍔🍟
