Christie's Sdr. Hostrup Kro Aabenraa

Beautiful and charming place. The reception at the reception was a bit pointed and impersonal, a smile and a little friendly eye contact goes a long way. The room was nicely renovated, but the beds are not very good, especially not for a middle-aged back. The springs can be felt through the mattress. Ouch. The 5-course menu was really delicious, especially the starter with salmon mosaic...and the butter for the sandwich bread. The waiters should probably take a course in pouring, as there was spillage on the side almost every time they lowered it. A separate knife for the butter would also be a nice touch, we used the "next serving knife" to spread the bread with it. The breakfast table had what was needed and was manageable. Very, very delicious milk from a local farm dairy. The soft-boiled eggs were sitting right in the cupboard, which is rare to experience. The menu promises bitters, which are not part of it. Instead, a homemade schnapps, which is ok, but I was looking forward to a bitter. The selection of alcohol, coffee and tea is on the delicious end and that naturally reflects the price. Bought two different GInTonic based on Christie's own gin and a coffee gin. Delicious drinks. Generally friendly, smiling and accommodating staff. According to our booking, we should have stayed in one of the cabins, which we did not. We got a room in one of the wings and the room was quite nice. We chose not to go into the fact that we should have had a cabin. Given the prices on the site, I probably expected a little more sharpness in the details, but basically a good stay.

We stayed in a Panorama cabin and had a 4 course gourmet menu. The service was absolutely fantastic both at the reception and the waiters in the restaurant. The food and wine were perfectly combined and very delicious - a truly wonderful experience. The cabin was great in every way.

Really good place, cozy atmosphere. Super good service. Super good food and drink menus, as their kitchen and Somalia are really good at putting together dishes and wine that compliment each other incredibly well. Of all 3 of us who went, the average was 96/100. Only very small details made the difference that it was not 100/100.

We have almost just been to Christies, a beautiful place and BEAUTIFUL staff who served the evening, they knew something about wine and were so polite. We had a beautiful and lovely suite, unfortunately the bed was a bit soft on the sides, put a towel under it. Apart from this I give my warmest recommendation, we will come again another time.

Supperia+Room ok, problems with the drain in the toilet and shower, which were only resolved the day after we arrived, so we almost didn't dare to go to the toilet and when we took a shower the drain couldn't keep up at all and it boiled up in the toilet when we were in the shower. The food, on the other hand, was fantastic, the waiters also get the 5 stars, sublime. 3 course dinner the first evening and 6 courses the second evening including wine menu. Really delicious

We were a couple and we had been looking forward to this stay which I had given my wife as a birthday present so everything should be fine unfortunately that was not the case the food was absolutely top notch tasted really good and there was nothing missing from the wine the staff were simply so sweet and absolutely fantastic no it was the room it was absolutely crazy with I had booked a comfort+ room so nothing could go wrong but oh how wrong I was 36 hours went by before we had a toilet and shower that worked the toilet almost boiled over and the shower did and it stank of sewage and then there was also our terrace which we had included in the price when we opened the terrace door we were greeted by water drops that fell down from a leaky roof pipe and hit the terrace and then into the room the boards on the terrace were so full of algae that you could skate on them which is just not right in such an expensive room as this they should have given us that without an extra charge of 200kr a day when it was as it was it was the most decent thing to do mvh disappointed guest

Fantastic experience incredibly good food

The food and service are worth a very long journey.

Gourmet stay with bed and breakfast. Exciting and good food at a relatively high culinary level. There is still room for improvement in choosing the right wine for the individual dishes in my opinion and taste. But all in all a predominantly positive experience.
