Good concept and very reasonable price for a good evening of food and drinks

On paper, Det Glade Vanvid is a fantastic concept: 3-4 courses of really good food, the ambitions in the kitchen are high, and the price is so reasonable that you almost become suspicious. You leave with a stomach ache – both from fullness and from how much wine you actually managed to pour on the table – and with a fine gastronomic experience, without your bill screaming for help afterwards. I've been to Randers. I've been to Viborg. And now I've been to Aalborg. And yes… Viborg is still running with the gold. Everything was in order, from the welcome to the last bite – it all worked. Aalborg (and Randers) on the other hand? It feels a bit like they're missing the final push to hit the same league. As if the energy drops just before the finish line – whether it's the staff's motivation, the premises, or just the details that aren't 100% right, I don't know. But the final wow factor is missing that makes you want to book a table again on the way home. Dear Aalborg team: Take a nice trip to Viborg, ask how they do it, and let yourself be inspired – because you are close, but not quite there yet. That said: the food was really good, everything worked as it should… right up until dessert, where I was forgotten and had to get it myself. Maybe it was a test of my initiative – or maybe it was just a small lack of service.

Really delicious food, a taste experience I will never forget, some of the best food I have ever had at a restaurant in Aalborg. At the same time the price was fantastic. I don't think there is another place in Aalborg where you can get equally good food for the same price

Great food, not so keen on the self-service concept. Recommended.

We have been here a couple of times and like the concept of wine ad libitum. However, the food is very mousse and foam with different flavors for several of the dishes and instead you miss the focus on a better piece of meat than what has been served both times. We probably won't come again.

It was a super nice menu that was put together, lots of different flavors, the concept of free drinks was also nice and a little different options, there was good service, the price is unbeatable, it's quite cheap with the menu and drinks. There was also a pretty cool atmosphere in the restaurant.
