20/12/2025: Nice café with good vibes, but a few details spoiled the experience.
The cutlery wasn’t 100% clean, which is something I really don’t expect at this price level. Also, the menu said “waffle” — not half a waffle. For what you pay, getting only half feels a bit misleading.
The butter was definitely not spreadable. Trying to butter the bread turned it into a small battlefield🤣
One more thing: the hanging decorations are fine unless you’re taller than about 195 cm. In that case, they are basically face-level obstacles.
Overall, the food was okay and the place has charm, but the details matter. That’s why it’s a solid 3 stars, not more, not less.

What can we say… we must be your biggest fans
When I arrived in Copenhagen my sister knew our very first stop for breakfast had to be Grød. There was no hesitation, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. From the moment we stepped in, the space had that signature Scandinavian coziness, clean design, soft lighting, warm smiles from the staff. It instantly set the tone for a calm, nourishing start to our day.
We tried the following:
✨ The Green Bowl 💚, an absolute celebration of freshness. Every bite tasted like health, but in the most delicious way possible.
✨ The Overnight Oats 🥣, creamy, chilled, and layered with so much texture. The oats were rich yet smooth, and the toppings added bursts of sweetness and crunch. Comforting, energizing, and exactly what we needed on a warm Copenhagen morning.
The food was a 10/10, but honestly, the experience was more than just breakfast. The vibe here is relaxed, wholesome, and inviting, making you want to linger with your bowl a little longer. The staff were kind and attentive without ever being overbearing you could feel that they truly care about the food and the people they serve.
As visitors, we were so grateful for a spot that felt both authentic to Copenhagen’s food scene and welcoming to travelers. For anyone looking for a place to fuel their day, whether you’re a local popping in before work or a tourist discovering the city, Grød is the definition of starting your morning right.
We’ll absolutely be back, and next time we’re bringing the whole crew to try even more bowls. Thank you, Grød, for being everything we needed and more 🌱✨
