Dronning Louises Tehus Gentofte

Wonderful place!!! A proper pot of quality tea, finally a place that can really make really good tea... I had scones with lemon curd and butter and jam and it was heavenly. Porcelain is antiques from England! Completed!! The staff super friendly! The park fantastic and the Rosenhaven another world. Pure idyll

Visited the Tehuset in January where the Bernstorff Castle garden is not exactly in bloom due to the time of year. That's my reason for 3 stars for the atmosphere of the place, plus the house is so old and small that the only toilet there is outside. That is you have to remember to put on a jacket to go to the toilet, because otherwise it will be cold when you stand in the rain and wait for it to be your turn. Next time I think I would also choose to sit on a chair instead of the sofa, which is quite deep for a short-legged person like me at 1.70m. The possibility of a pillow in the back of the sofa would have kindly solved my lack of back support. Finally, it is perhaps nice to be aware that you are limited to two hours for your afternoon tea. This is of course so that the house can benefit from a second sitting of guests, but unfortunately means that the company I came with could not enjoy ourselves and drink tea for as long as we might have liked. Afternoon tea is all in all a very nice offer and good value for money, if you, as a guest, are just aware of these things. The service was fine and the food and tea outstanding. I am sure that if you visit the place in the summer when the weather is better than in January, it will be a nice experience for a few hours one afternoon.

Cozy place if you're into tea ;) Afternoon tea: a good experience; Good sandwiches etc. And you can try as many teas as you can drink. There is NO coffee ;) There is a toilet outside.

Wrote some notes in my china book during the visit: First snack: Cucumber, Creamy cheese. This stick food was like a good hug. Other stick food: Potato. Made me want to have potatoes more often. Third snack: Egg salad, apple. It was just delicious, a good combination I will take with me in the future. Now for the tea: White Symphony: Tastes the same way my skin feels at the spa. Feeling refreshed, cleansed. Noted: Good, Wellness. Afternoon Tea: "I could drink this tea forever", I noted. Would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys tea and all that comes with it. And on top of that, there was fantastic service!

We had a lovely afternoon tea experience at Dronning Louises Tehus. Delicious teas, sandwiches, scones and sweets, and great service. It’s not exactly an authentic British afternoon tea as there was no clotted cream and the scones were cut in half (big no-no in the UK), but that didn’t matter. We had a great time!

Such a cozy and beautiful place. Great service.
