Ellegaards Landkøkken Kolding

Had heard about the excellent cuisine, so invited some friends along. When we entered we were a little surprised by how *familial" and grandma-like the decor was, but it fits the restaurant's name well. We all 3 ordered sirloin stew and we can definitely recommend it. Everything is made from scratch and there is plenty of food and it tasted great. Since it is made from scratch, a bit of a wait can be expected, but again, it is worth the time. We will return.

Nice restaurant with delicious food and good service! A menu is available in Danish, English and German. What you have left you can take home.

Just visited Grandma's country kitchen. Cozy place and very friendly service. It all seems a bit random, but it suits a grandmother very well. Some acoustic panels on the ceiling would do a lot for the atmosphere. But otherwise a great experience. Ordered a medium rare steak and it was perfectly cooked. Smart super, and it was plentiful. Definitely coming again.

Food like mom made it, and lots of it. If you are into modern decor, and plates and cutlery that is for you. Then this place is not for you. If, on the other hand, you like different plates, different chairs and the friendliest staff, who are down to earth, then Mormor's country kitchen in Hejlsminde is just the right experience for you😊 There is an incredibly cozy atmosphere from the moment you walk in the door until you leave again. I was there on Sunday 9-3-2025, where we had the tartlet buffet, which is new to me. But the concept works 100% There were 6 different kinds of filling, and then it's just a matter of going to it. I can highly recommend the place from here.
