Super delicious fish! Can hardly say anything else. We ordered fish fillets, fish cakes and a garlic salmon and everything tasted just excellent. It is recommended to eat it fresh, and for example not to save fish cakes for the next day or the like. We did and they became very dry and also lost their taste.
The service was really friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

The concept is simple and good.
There is a reasonable buffet with a good selection of fish dishes, also some child-friendly. Eat what you can and what you want. Unfortunately, the stomach capacity says stop before the eyes and the desire.
I like the place a lot, and the price is fair.
Clear recommendation.

Nice food, lots of people, a bit rude service and too few seats outside.
Beautiful spot by the harbor. Delicious fish. Fair prices.

Anyone in Faaborg who thinks a café is just a place for coffee and a slice of cake should definitely stop by here.
This café is located right on the harbor, so close to the water that you almost expect the herring to jump onto your plate.
With a view of the South Funen Archipelago, sitting here is like stepping into a postcard – only with more fish and less Photoshop.
The café's unique feature: they don't just cook here, they smoke. And they do it with a passion that you'd probably only find at barbecue clubs in Germany. Freshly smoked salmon, herring, and other seafood leave their own smokehouse daily and go straight to your plate. If you like, you can even take a picnic basket with you and explore the Danish countryside – because the Danes understand that eating outdoors in gale-force winds is a leisure activity.
In general, Danish cafés are a world of their own. While in Germany you often spend ten minutes looking for a server who might be descaling the coffee machine, everything seems to run more smoothly in Denmark. No one rushes you, no one asks every three minutes if you'd like anything else. You simply sit there, gaze at the water, savor your fish, and slowly develop the feeling that stress might just be a German export.
The atmosphere is also noticeably different. German cafés often try to look cozy. Danish cafés are cozy without trying to prove it. A few wooden tables, a maritime view, friendly people, and good food—apparently, that's all it takes. The famous Danish "hygge" isn't a marketing strategy here, but simply everyday life.
In short: The Røgeri Café in Faaborg is less a café than a little lesson in how to enjoy life. Those who stop there not only get excellent fish and a harbor view, but also the realization that the Danes turn even a simple lunch into a relaxed lifestyle experience. You leave satisfied, a little happier—and with the suspicion that the Danes have grasped something that we Germans would still be discussing in a working group.
