Dirty tables, in general it wasn't really that clean when we were there.

If you love airplanes, you've come to the right place, but if you love crispy fries, you should go somewhere else

Flyvergrillen is a legendary place on Amager. 💪 For (at least) 30+ years, kids (and adults) have been mesmerised by the planes taking off right next to the place. 🛫 I still remember this place from my childhood - and even if they have added a few new things and upgraded the playground, it still looks the same - and I suspect the menu haven’t changed much since then. So, besides the planes, you are getting classic Danish fast-food: Hotdogs, burgers, sausage and fries etc. at okay prices. It’s not cheap but it’s not too expensive. Usually if you go on weekends, around lunch, the place is packed and there is a lot of chaos when ordering your food. Be prepared to stand and wait a bit before it’s ready, and listen carefully for when your order is ready. All in all, it’s a great place to go and watch planes and have a hot dog. I hope this little piece of nostalgia will never change - and keep staying like an 80’s grillbar. 🙏

Okay. But needs a loving hand - quite worn

This is a unique Danish experience. It's a traditional old-school "Grillbar" with Danish style hotdogs, greasy spring rolls, chocolate milk and a small selection of traditional Danish courses such as "Biksemad" and "Hakkebøf". But do not expect much in terms of Homestyle cooking, it might actually gross you out a bit, but thats part of the charm.. This particular grillbar is quite old and renowned as it lies at the airport runways. Take your date here for a traditional hotdog with chocolate milk and dream yourselves away to exotic destinations while you watch the planes take off.

The food was delicious, it came in a plate which was nice and you can also planespot while eating a whole meal, the service was fairly quick but I'm just concerned about the cold, that's not Flyvergrillen's choice tho lol. Get a jacket if you are eating there in winter. Also a very nice (EXTREMELY RARE) AN-2 parked out in the playground!

Really delicious chicken burger, just the whole thing can definitely be recommended!! And their organic juice is just really delicious😋😋

Didn't eat but they were supposed to have legendary steak sandwiches with lots of brown gravy. ADDITION Have now tried the aforementioned steak sandwich with brown sauce. It was sumptuous and actually tasted quite good, but that IS a matter of taste.

Food is your standard grill fare so not exactly exciting. That's not why you go here though, there's a great view of planes taking off on the runway, and the interiors are all decorated with various aviation memorabilia. Playground outside for the small kids. Great spot to watch planes
