Lovely surroundings and cozy atmosphere in Fændrikhus.

Cozy little place in the middle of the forest with a good view of the lake. Really good food and nice staff who work voluntarily

Cozy place run by volunteers. Good sandwiches.

Idyllic spot and inn down to Esrum Sø, run by volunteers. Had a couple of excellent meals with herring, shrimp salad and chicken salad. Afterwards coffee and cake. It's slow living and you shouldn't be in a hurry when you come, but instead enjoy the peace and slow down. The food comes when it comes and that's completely okay.
