I often come to Horsens, I don't live in the city myself, I have to admit that I always come back to the prison here and it's a pleasure every time, good friendly staff who are ready to help and overall not a dull moment while you are there, definitely worth a visit 😁👍

Great experience and it wasn't bad with too many people

Super interesting place, with a large number of explanations (in English) about the places, the inmates, the staff, the context, a little bit of everything. The visit is well signposted so even though it is large, it is easy to find your way around. I learned a lot of things and I really liked it. It's a must if you're in the area.

Really a great experience. This disused prison has been converted to new uses. There is a museum which gives access to part of the building and where you can see both the old prison cells, the rocker section incl. the prisoners' own kitchen facilities, the prison church, exhibitions about punishment, the work of the prisoners, "the escape king's dug tunnel to freedom" and much more. There is a small café, a small prison shop, etc. The site now also contains a conference centre, the option of sleeping in, an office hotel, etc. and a number of concerts and cultural events are held at the site, e.g. the great annual European Medieval Festival.

Attended meetings there. Good conditions and everything was good.

Fantastic experience to walk around first on a guided tour and afterwards on your own. And gain insight into what a prison is like.

As always, a lovely place to visit.
