Folkehuset Absalon København

The food was fantastic, each table holds 7/8 people and the portions were good leaving everyone full. The dirty lemonade went down a treat this day because it was so hot. Great food, company and vibes

Absalon in Copenhagen is a truly special place for lunch. The converted church creates an atmosphere that's rarely experienced: open, uncomplicated, and yet very pleasant. We particularly liked the concept of the long tables where you sit together with strangers, many of them locals. This makes the visit feel less like a typical restaurant and more like a small, communal gathering. The food was good, down-to-earth, and perfectly suited to the relaxed setting. The beer selection also pleasantly surprised us and went well with lunch. Overall, the atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant, lively, but not hectic. I'm deducting one star because, while the food was good, it wasn't exceptional. Nevertheless, Absalon is highly recommended if you're looking for something different from a traditional restaurant in Copenhagen.

Had an excellent communal dinner here. The meal was vegan, filling, tasty. Truly one of my favorite meals in CPH. I believe I was one of two solos in the dining room, so we were sat next to each other. The rest of our tables were young Danes who were very kind, but also mainly there to socialize with their friends. Would have been nice to sit with a social group. Alas! At least the meal and atmosphere were great and well priced. Would still recommend for solos.
