Fyrkroen Gribskov

How lucky can you be? On a bitterly cold Tuesday in March on the way from Hornbæk to Gilleleje, we discovered a small Dannebrog flag on the sign for the Fyrkroen at Nakkehoved Lighthouse. Did that mean it was open? - And yes, it was there. And what a pleasant surprise. We were received by the friendliest staff, seated at a table with a view of Kullen in a restaurant environment that was beautiful, classic and modern all at once. We got four of the house's good dishes from the cold and warm kitchen - not to put a finger on any of it. (The beer was also good - even the non-alcoholic (it is said)). A thoroughly delightful and encouraging experience. Thanks.

Fyrkroen is beautifully situated on the Øresund and enriches the most beautiful, both in view and in the tasteful decoration. Deliciously prepared fresh fish and shellfish can be recommended.

Nice lunch, good. service as well as fantastic acoustics in the room, according to the many guests.

Simply such lovely food and pleasant service. First an avocado snack with roasted potato, then mushroom soup with sherry foam, then fried cod on pearl barley with celery and pickled pumpkin and carrot. In addition, a nice glass of Riesling. Lovely. I'll be back. Preferably tomorrow.

A wonderful place that had slipped a bit from my attention BUT it is SO much back as my new favorite place on the north coast. The most delicious food I have had in DK in a very long time. An appetizer of half an avocado with chili mayo and small pieces of fried potato. The starter was forest mushroom soup with sherry foam and the main course was roast duck breast with crushed roast potato and lingonberries, kale and toasted walnuts. All with a super Riesling. We will be there again soon and gladly with guests.

Fantastisk flot oplevelse , alt i top

Rammerne er charmerende, udsigten over glitrende vand fantastisk, personalet smilende og imødekommende - jo, Restaurant Fyrkroen har skam allerede masser af plusser på kontoen, før det højtbelagte smørrebrød kommer på bordet. Første runde bestod blandt andet af stegte sild (best ever!) og lun fiskefilet med citronmayo og nogle helt forrygende rejer. En pebersnaps hertil kan varmt anbefales. Anden runde var glimrende, men holdt ikke helt niveauet fra før. Laks med avocado smagte udmærket, men var en ret forglemmelig servering. Både den klassiske tatar og den rørte tatar gjorde, hvad de skulle - og så ikke mere; karse er i øvrigt ikke den mest indlysende ledsager til det forfinet smagende råoksekød. Æblekagen vakte glæde, de tre petit fours var på det jævne, osteplatten føltes som en pligtservering. Da vi spurgte om, hvilke oste der lå foran os, pegede tjeneren på blåskimmelosten og oplyste, at det var ‘en blåskimmelost’. Surprise!? De to andre oste kendte hun ikke navnene på… Hmm. Alt i alt var oplevelsen i Gilleleje over middel, men ikke helt oppe at ringe. Der er plads til forbedringer, hvis man vil matche de bedste frokostrestauranter i København.
